Support Annaleesa and Raven's Journey to Stability
Donation protected
Hi! We're Miriam and Heather, and we want to see our community unite for two friends who deserve a leg up after relentless tough times. For many people experiencing financial uncertainty, a monetary gift like this can mean the difference between continued struggles and making ends meet.
Our friends Annaleesa and Raven Alchayr grew up in the small town of Owosso, Michigan, and got married there in 2020. They left when they grew tired of their conservative town not treating them the way they deserved. Exhausted from physical health issues and other difficulties, they decided it was time to start over. They bought a van and headed for California, where they've found new friends and a more inclusive community.
Unfortunately, their van has broken down, and the second van they purchased in its place was impounded. Both women are in school and don't have a steady form of income. They lack the funds for the rapidly increasing cost to retrieve their impounded van, and it too needs repairs to run.
Annaleesa and Raven currently live in their first minivan, which is permanently parked at a friend's house, as it is not running. Living out of their van is exhausting, as is not having reliable transportation. We want to show these women that community knows how to show up in California.
While we welcome donations from anyone regardless of background or beliefs, this Go Fund Me is also a way to demonstrate to these awesome women what the LGBTQIA+ community can do, and how inclusive and even nonreligious groups can show up for community members in need as well as any religious community can.
If you have even a dollar to spare, please donate to give Annaleesa and Raven the leg up anyone in the same situation deserves. Donations will go toward helping them fix their current van and/or find new transportation (depending on repair costs) and also toward finding a more comfortable living situation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity!
