Hi, my name is Anna Castano, and I’ve been powerlifting for 8 years. After taking a two-year break to have my daughter, Opal, I came back stronger than ever. This year, I placed in the top three at USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals, earning an official spot to represent the USA at the World Powerlifting Championships in Seoul, South Korea.

Only the top three lifters in each category are invited to compete at Worlds, and being offered this opportunity is the culmination of years of discipline, sacrifice, and relentless training. As a single mother, balancing work, parenting, and elite-level training has been one of the greatest challenges of my life, but I’m determined to show my child that anything is possible with commitment and courage.

Competing at this level comes with significant costs, including travel, hotel, entry fees, coaching support, and child care while I’m away. Every dollar helps me get closer to stepping onto that platform and representing our country with pride.
