Support Anna Aidoo's Devastated Children

We are raising money to support Anna Aidoo’s young family, whose world dramatically changed a week before Christmas.

Anna unexpectedly passed away aged 42 after a short battle with sepsis. She was my best friend and I am still in shock at her passing.

Anna was working so hard to achieve her dreams which were to teach and inspire young people. She graduated from University three years ago with a degree in Child Psychology. When she passed away she was a trainee teacher working with year 6 students.

She passed away within a week of falling ill and she leaves behind 3 young children who are heartbroken and missing their mummy. Anna was their world as they were hers.

Her children, Malachi, 15, Shinead 11 and Freya 8 are beautiful children. Both Malachi and Freya live with sickle cell. Freya is so resilient and strong but she has to rely on monthly blood transfusions. Her mummy always held her hand and told her everything would be okay; she can’t do this anymore.

Malachi is a talented young man who dreams of becoming an architect, Anna always told him to work hard at school to get great GCSE grades and go onto a good university. Anna will not see him getting those good gcse grades this summer.

Shinead is moving to secondary school this year and Anna was preparing her for this change. Anna won’t get to take the picture of Shinead in her ‘big school uniform’.

Their world is broken. We are trying to help in any way we can by preparing for their present and future needs as Anna would have.
