My name is Anissa. My family and I are starting this GoFundMe to help with hospice and funeral expenses for our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

She went into the hospital on Mother's Day, May 12, 2024 and has been in ICU ever since fighting a flesh eating bacteria.

In that time she's had over 11 operations (skin removal, debridement, skin grafts, colostomy and breathing tube just to name a few). Even with all these treatments she is not getting any better.

I go visit her almost every day and during the past week I have seen her decline with my own eyes. Today, I received the call I have been dreading since this she was first taken away from home in an ambulance.

The infection has taken its toll on her body, the only thing left to do is to make her comfortable. We need to start planning for Hospice Care along with all that comes with that, then eventually for her funeral.

Please find it in your hearts to help our family in our time of sadness so we can spend the time needed to be with her to say our goodbyes and not worry about about how we will deal with everything once she has left us.
