Hi, my name is Sloane Smith, and I’m the daughter of Angela Cates — the amazing woman this fundraiser is for. Recently, my mom was diagnosed with uterine cancer and will soon undergo a hysterectomy to help increase her chances of beating it. She’s one of the hardest-working people I know, working two jobs to help support me as I pursue my education at Texas A&M University.

Unfortunately, surgery comes with significant medical expenses and time away from work. I want to give her the peace of mind to focus fully on recovery without the added stress of financial strain. My goal with this fundraiser is to give back to her in some small way after all the love, dedication, and sacrifices she’s made for me over the years. Anything is appreciated and would mean so much to our family!
