Support Angela and David After Devastating Theft
I'm starting this campaign to help friends and beloved community members Angela DiMarco and David Hogan. They are actors, filmmakers, teachers, and they run Mighty Tripod.
On Sunday morning October 19, Seattle Actor Photos and Mighty Tripod Acting Studio were BURGLARIZED. Two men broke into several businesses in the business park in Georgetown. They took items that could be pawned or sold without owner identification. All of their cameras, all the lenses, tripods, monitors, handheld gear, bags, batteries and anything camera-related were stolen. So far this is over $25,000 in gear. This was a decade of hard work to purchase these items.
David immediately made a Police report and an insurance claim, both of which had to be made online. The police still haven’t followed up and neither has the insurance adjuster. Pawn shops won’t cooperate unless these claims are further along. The insurance deductible alone is $1000, and the adjuster gets to decide value and loss versus the itemized list.
This is their livelihood and they must still pay rent for the studio even while they can't work at capacity. This adversely affects their ability to work as they did, but they are persevering and doing their best to continue classes, headshots and services. Please help these creative community members who have given so much for so many years! Let's give back and help them refurbish their necessary gear. THANK YOU!!
