This is Andy, my best friend and brother. We met in the Marines, and from the very start, he was the guy who could make anyone laugh, no matter how bad things got. He had this way of lifting people up, even in the worst situations.
On our first deployment to a warzone, Andy’s world changed forever. He was blown up by an IED, but instead of giving in to the pain, he fought through it to save the lives of other Marines. That’s just who he is, always putting others before himself. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was medically discharged from the military shortly after.
But what people don’t see is what happens when the war follows you home. Over the years, I’ve watched Andy struggle as his mental and physical health have taken a serious hit. The strong, funny, lighthearted guy I knew has been fighting battles that no one talks about.
But there’s one thing that still sparks something in him, which is videography/photography. It’s always been his passion, his escape. And I truly believe that this passion could save his life.
That’s why I’m asking for your help. I want to raise money to get Andy the camera and gear he needs to turn his passion into something real, something that gives him purpose again. This isn’t just about buying equipment; it’s about giving my best friend a reason to keep going and not be just another statistic.
Every dollar goes toward getting him the tools he needs to rebuild his life. And if you can’t donate, please share this because Andy’s story isn’t just his. It’s the story of so many veterans who need a second chance.
Let’s show Andy that his sacrifice still matters. That he still matters.
