Last month, while work was being done on their future retirement home in Maine, a devastating accident turned Andrea and Mark's lives upside down. A propane explosion occurred while Andrea was inside, and the home was quickly engulfed in flames. Thankfully, Andrea was able to escape, but not before suffering severe burns to her legs and back.

Andrea was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she has been receiving specialized care and beginning the long road to recovery. Her healing journey will involve many challenges, setbacks, and victories in the months ahead.

Since the accident, Mark has remained faithfully by Andrea's side. Throughout it all, Andrea has amazed her doctors, nurses, and caregivers with her courage, determination, and positive spirit. Of course this doesn’t surprise anyone that knows Andrea!

While we are confident that Andrea's strength and support of her family will help her through this difficult ordeal, recovery will take time. Both Andrea and Mark will be away from work for an extended period as they focus on healing and rehabilitation. And although work will pause for the moment, the bills keep coming.
