Hi everyone,
*if you see a warning message saying I’m organizing this for Jess — I’m having to transfer the funds to Jess while I get my own bank account set up (the joys of a divorce, yay!)*
First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone who has supported us during this incredibly challenging time. Your kindness, encouragement, and generosity have meant the world to me and my daughter — I truly can’t express how grateful we are.
For those who don’t know the full story, here’s a brief overview: The week my husband and I were supposed to move out of our home and relocate out of state with his brother (who owned the house we were living in), he left for what was supposed to be a work trip. That trip turned into no employment and a splurge of what little money we had — and ultimately, a conversation from my brother-in-law telling me my husband wanted a divorce. Just like that, I was left with no money, no car, and no place to go.
My husband refused to help with any part of the relocation process, which was already on an extremely escalated timeline — we were supposed to move just five days later. I was a stay-at-home mom with no income and nowhere to turn. Thankfully, some incredible friends stepped in to offer us a safe place to stay, a loaned vehicle, and essentials for both me and my daughter. Their generosity has been truly life-saving.
I’m relieved to share that I’ve recently secured a job, and I’m doing everything I can to rebuild our life from the ground up. This is a huge step forward, and while it brings a sense of hope and momentum, we’re still working hard to make ends meet during this transition. Between baby formula, food, gas, and upcoming legal fees, your support continues to make a real and tangible difference in our day-to-day stability.
I’m also continuing to look into affordable legal assistance to help navigate the divorce and ensure a safe and secure future for my daughter and me. Every donation — no matter the size — helps us take another step toward long-term stability. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this page is just as powerful.
We are safe, healing, and finally moving forward. I’m proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time, and so incredibly thankful to all of you who’ve lifted us up along the way. Thank you for helping us find hope in the middle of heartbreak.
With deep gratitude, Andrea and Evelyn ♡
