Support Andi Rowell's Medical Brigade to Belize
Donation protected
My name is Andi Rowell and I am a senior at Virginia Tech. I am extremely excited for the opportunity to be of service to the people of Belize through my volunteer work with Virginia Tech's chapter of Global Medical Brigades. In January of 2025, I will be joining a team of 30 students and medical professionals traveling to Belize. Through Virginia Tech's chapter of Global Medical Brigades, volunteers like myself have the opportunity to empower underserved individuals. The program is based on a holistic model that builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the goal of sustainably evolving into a relationship solely based on impact monitoring.
During our time in Belize, volunteers will transform communal areas into triage stations, doctor's offices, and clinics for hundreds of patients to receive care. Many patients, ranging from the age of 3 months to over 100 years, will be receiving healthcare for the first time. All of this will be made possible by the efforts of our volunteers and the generous donors who help us get there.
I ask that you consider contributing to this worthy cause. I have a fundraising goal of $2750 that will go towards supplies for the community, such as toiletries and medications, as well as fundraising for the project and volunteers' travel expenses.
I kindly ask for your support in our fundraising efforts so that I can work alongside a new community in the upcoming brigade and in the years to come. Please note that your donation will be 100% tax deductible and will only be used for the purposes described above.
