Hi there!
Anyone who knows me knows my friends Brooke and Ian Currier. Their family’s story starts long before the events that took place on November 20th. Brooke planned to attend an OB appointment at 10am. Their son, Anderson had different plans. Brooke and Ian welcomed their son into the world at an alarmingly early gestational age of 24 weeks and 0 days. His due date was meant to be March 12th, but our little breech Scorpio’s placenta abrupted, causing a STAT c-section for Brooke. Anderson is our fighter. He has a plethora of battles to overcome and was transferred from the loving and capable level III NICU in New Hampshire. He is now being monitored very closely at Boston Children’s hospital. While he is collecting the wins when they come, they often feel far and few in between.
His journey has understandably not been easy and he is still facing challenges everyday including (but not limited to) monitoring his brain bleed, regulating his blood levels, surgical intervention needed on his heart, and assessing the potential surgery(ies) needed for his GI tract. As of recent updates, he has endured a life saving bedside procedure to fix a hole in his intestines. If left unfixed, his organs would fail him.
As new parents themselves, Brooke and Ian are on a learning curve like never before. We are seeking a level of assistance that is unimaginable in order to reduce their financial strain. If you can find it in your heart to donate, please consider this growing family that has spend every moment of their lives caring for their loved ones. All of their time, and energy is being spent on sweet Anderson; please share their story and help them through the biggest challenge they have ever faced.
Please consider respecting their privacy during this difficult time. They were waiting to announce their pregnancy on social media platforms, so their story may come as a shock to friends and loved ones who do not know their story. Thank you for your time, and for keeping the Curriers in your heart.
