Support an SLP Student's Green Card Journey

From my wife:

My name is Ana. I’m a bilingual speech-language pathology student in the second year of my master’s program, and I’m thrilled to be so close to finishing my degree! My dream is to walk across the graduation stage, complete my clinical fellowship, and make my Mexican family proud—showing that all my hard work has paid off. However, my circumstances are making this difficult.

I am undocumented, and without legal status, I won’t be able to use my degree after I graduate. I married the love of my life, who is an American citizen, and we applied for a green card last year. Despite going over every detail on the application, we were devastated to receive a letter denying our request. Even worse, the letter stated that I had "33 days to leave the United States," or deportation proceedings would begin. Thankfully, there is hope. We are able to resubmit the green card application with legal representation if we act quickly. However, the process is costly. Between attorney fees, application costs, and medical examinations, we need $6,100 to move forward.

I’m determined to overcome this challenge because my goal is to graduate this May and serve people in our community as a bilingual speech-language pathologist. I am raising funds to support these costs, and any help would bring me closer to fulfilling my dream.
