Foundryon is not just a game. It is a living sci-fi universe unfolding in the real world.

The Foundryon Relic Hunt is an open, urban exploration game where players become part of a fictional planetary expedition. Players search real locations, place Relic Keys, and interact with an continuously evolving story that blends fantasy and science fiction.

One thing the community reacted to the most from the very beginning was this:

When you enter the game, you receive a free Foundryon T-shirt of your choice. We have reduced this because we had many people requesting to play and get T-shirt but they never engaged, so we changed this. Now you get a free T-shirt of your choice once you place 5 Relic Keys.

This is not merch. This is a uniform. A marker that you are part of the Foundryon Universe.

In the first round of the Foundryon Relic Hunt, Mission Control sent out more than 20 T-shirts all across Germany. Aachen, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, and more locations are already active.

That alone costed around 296 euros.

That is not much for a gaming corporation. But Foundryon is not a company.

Everything you see in this project is created independently: the story, the artifacts, the visuals, the puzzles, the communication with players, and yes, the shirts. There is no studio, no publisher, no investors. Just one creator and a growing community.

And this is where the scaling problem begins.

If one person has to cover all of this alone, growth becomes impossible. But the game is growing. More players are joining. More cities are activating. More people want to become part of the Universe.

So we have come with an additional idea for how players can enter the game: Everyone can request a Foundryon Relic Hunt Starter Package which includes this:

•Personal player card with a link directly to the Foundryon Relic Hunt Online console.

•5 Printed Relic Keys

•1 Lanyard

•1 Card holder to protect your Players card and your Relic Keys on the go.

This fundraiser exists for one main reason:

To make sure that every new player can still receive a starting package when they enter the game. And we want to welcome them properly.

Our goal is to raise 1,000 euros.

That allows us to welcome around many new players into the Foundryon Universe.

Where the money actually goes:

We believe in full transparency. Here is what it currently costs to welcome a single new player into the Foundryon universe:

Bulk-purchased Lanyard: 1€

Bulk-purchased Players card 0,5€

Bulk prints for the Player cards 0.1€

Bulk printed Relic Keys 0.5€ per 5 Relic Keys (400g paper)

Keymaster Player achievement costs:

Bulk-purchased T-shirt from an online wholesaler: 2.99 €

Printing the individual transfer sticker (chest+back) for one shirt: 6 €

Shipping the shirt anywhere in Germany as a large envelope: 1.80 €

Printing the Relic Keys: 1 €

Large envelope, bus ticket to the post station, small items: 3 €

That means each new player costs Mission Control around 14–15 euros just to be properly welcomed into the game.

None of this includes website hosting, t-shirt designing and production labor, time, story creation, puzzle design, or communication. It is purely the physical, unavoidable cost of keeping this experience real.

If everyone donates just 2 euros, we can reach this goal together. Did you ever donate to Wikipedia? I did, and it felt right to do that.

This is not about profit.

This is about not leaving new players stranded because of missing funds.
