Remember those Afghan families that were promised refuge in the U.S. after bravely risking their lives to assist our efforts in Afghanistan? Well, our country is no longer honoring those promises, so private groups are joining hands to welcome Afghan families and help them settle into a new community.

I'm part of a newly formed group called the Northwest Neighbors Sponsor Circle and we have a family of four heading our way very soon (like in 7 days!) We are working to provide everything needed to get them settled during the first critical 90 days -- from housing and supplies to support navigating public transportation and the grocery store. This is going to take a lot of work (which we are committed to) and lots of money, which we are asking for help with.

This is a tangible way to offer support to a family who needs it. Anything you can give will be helpful and much appreciated.
