This is being organized by friends of a beloved activist, Lisa R, who is being displaced once again. We are asking for funds to cover getting a new apartment as well as transportation back to Kingston and mutual aid work.

This move was forced by gentrification, a system that pushes out working-class people and directly impacted organizers. While the displacement is real, the work does not stop.

Relocating to the state capital puts this activist closer to decision-makers shaping housing justice, decarceration, and human rights across New York.

Kingston remains home, and she will continue showing up for our community while fighting for policies that protect all NYers from displacement and state violence.
