Meet our daughter, Amy. She is a bright, loving, and courageous child who brings so much joy to our lives. She was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome and epilepsy. Two complex conditions that significantly impact her daily life. Angelman syndrome affects her ability to walk, communicate, and perform everyday tasks that most of us take for granted. Epilepsy adds another layer of difficulty, bringing unpredictable seizures that require constant monitoring and medical intervention.

Despite these challenges, Amy is a warrior. She faces each day with a contagious smile and a heart full of love. She may be nonverbal, but she speaks in ways that go beyond words, through her laughter, her determination, and the incredible bond she shares with those around her. She teaches us patience, resilience, and the true meaning of unconditional love.

As her family, we are committed to giving her the best possible life. This means ongoing therapies, specialized equipment, medical treatments, and adaptive resources that help her navigate the world. However, these essential services come with significant financial burdens. We are reaching out to our community for support, not only to help with her daily needs but also to provide her with opportunities that bring her joy, comfort, and a brighter future.

We are currently raising funds for special therapies called DMI (which all services are out of pocket, no insurance covers it), a wheelchair-accessible car, and medical equipment. These resources will make a profound difference in Amy's life, giving her more independence, safety, and happiness.

Conoce a nuestra hija, Amy. Es una niña brillante, cariñosa y valiente que trae mucha alegría a nuestras vidas. Fue diagnosticada con síndrome de Angelman y epilepsia. Dos condiciones complejas que impactan significativamente en su vida diaria. El síndrome de Angelman afecta su capacidad para caminar, comunicarse y realizar tareas cotidianas que la mayoría de nosotros damos por sentado. La epilepsia agrega otra capa de dificultad, provocando convulsiones impredecibles que requieren monitoreo constante e intervención médica.

Como su familia, estamos comprometidos a darle la mejor vida posible. Esto significa terapias continuas, equipos especializados, tratamientos médicos y recursos adaptativos que le ayudan a navegar por el mundo. Sin embargo, estos servicios esenciales conllevan importantes cargas financieras. Nos estamos comunicando con nuestra comunidad en busca de apoyo, no solo para ayudar con sus necesidades diarias, sino también para brindarle oportunidades que le brinden alegría, consuelo y un futuro más brillante.
