Dearest friends and family—

How do we even begin to talk about the incredible journey in God we’ve been on the last half decade? It is the most profound, beautiful, and tragic journey of our lives. Some would call it a journey of infertility but it was/is so much more than that. It’s been a life changing process of learning the power of His love in the pit of hell, of going through spiritual death and resurrection, of experiencing His Kingdom here on earth through the love and intimacy of biological and spiritual family. Do you all have a few hours? Days? Because we have stories.

Through it all, the Lord placed on our hearts the desire to adopt. In the weeks ahead, perhaps we will continue to share our story and the beautiful ways the Lord brought us here.

It is the grace of God that we were introduced to Christian Adoption Consultants, who help you find the most ethical, cost-effective, and quickest way through the adoption process. After a home study is complete you typically find a match within 6-12 months. What is more, we were gifted the full amount of the consultant fee (5K) from a beautiful couple who had been saving for our future child, long before they really knew why. God is faithful! Reflecting on this miracle continues to give us courage.

We’ve been told the average adoption fees we will face are 50-60K. We will be looking into grants, other fundraising options, and possibly loans. But the reality is, without the Lord providing a way through His family this isn’t something we can do. The amount we have to raise is absolutely overwhelming, and the last thing a couple who has gone through everything we’ve gone through wants is to be vulnerable with our need. But- we love and trust you all with this burden. We know we are loved by you. Writing that out chokes me up! The greatest things that Peter and I have ever “achieved” were never done in isolation. They always involved our community. What does it mean to belong to the family of God? It means we have access to His riches, in His Kingdom. And you, our village, our people, are a part of that Kingdom.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of the future of baby Rollo's story. What God could do in our lives, and in our future child’s life, is unimaginably exciting.

Thank you also for being prayer warriors for us. Some of you who have been in the know for awhile, have warred over us tirelessly for years and years. Going public like this, I know we’ve just gained so many more prayer warriors.

Home study fee: $1,500 - $3,000

Application fees: $1,000 - $5,000

Agency fees: $20,000 -$25,000

Birth Parent expenses/At-risk fees $15,000 -$25,000

Legal fees: $3,500 - $8,000

Post-placement and. Travel: $3,000 - $4,000
