Support Ames Alvarado's Eagle Scout Greenhouse Project

My name is Ames Alvarado with Troop 101 in Auburn, MA and I am writing to ask for your support in funding my Eagle Scout Project. I am a student at White Oak School a school dedicated to students with learning language-based disabilities. As someone with dyslexia, I have been fortunate to be a part of this community for the past three years.

One of the most impactful experiences during my time here has been my involvement with the Gardening Club. Our club members actively participate in maintaining and harvesting a variety of vegetables, which are then used in our school lunches. This hands-on approach provides invaluable learning opportunities and promotes healthy eating habits among the students.

For my Eagle Scout Project, I am planning to build a greenhouse for the school garden. This greenhouse will serve as a vital structure to protect our vegetables and fruits from animals, ensuring a consistent supply of fresh produce for our school meals. Furthermore, it will allow us to extend our growing season and provide a continued hands-on learning experience for students, fostering a deeper understanding of where their food comes from and the importance of healthy eating.

Any donation, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated and would directly contribute to the successful completion of this project, benefiting the students and school community for years to come.
