Help Amelia & Sandra Rebuild Their Lives
"After years of abuse, loss, and starting over, my mom and I are fighting to rebuild our lives from nothing — and we need your help to make it happen."
---
Hello, my name is Amelia.
I’ve always been a strong, resilient, and independent woman. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But life has a way of humbling you — and today, I’m reaching out with humility, hope, and faith in the kindness of others.

How We Got Here:
A few years ago, my world completely fell apart.
The end of an abusive relationship left me financially and emotionally shattered. At the same time, my small business as a Licensed Massage Therapist — something I spent years building — crumbled in the chaos.
Then, my family went through a series of traumatic events that left deep emotional and financial scars.
My mom, Sandra, and I stepped up to care for my elderly grandmother, who had been financially exploited by close relatives in her vulnerable state. We moved her to safety, fought to protect her dignity, and tried to hold everything together.
Despite our best efforts, we lost our family home. The stress of caregiving without support took a huge toll on us. Eventually, for our own well-being, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to step back and let others take over her care.

The Abuse Didn’t Stop There
During this time, my mother and I became victims of mental, emotional, and physical abuse — from members of our own family.
We were stalked, manipulated, and harassed. My mom is now battling identity theft because of the whole ordeal. Her mental health has suffered immensely — she now lives with major depressive disorder and panic disorder and rarely leaves the house.
I’ve also been deeply affected. I was diagnosed with complex PTSD and severe depression and am currently in therapy, working hard to heal.

Why I’m Asking for Help Now:
The financial struggles, the loss of independence, and — in many ways — the loss of who I used to be have been overwhelming.
I’ve watched my mom, the strongest woman I know, and myself become shadows of who we once were. But I refuse to let this be the end of our story.
To get back on my feet I need help to pay for my car registration so I can return to work, support myself, and help my mother.
Your donations will help us cover overdue bills, repair essential appliances, continue my professional education in the healing arts, and work toward a stable, self-sufficient life.

Why Your Help Means Everything
This isn’t just financial help — this is a chance to rebuild.
Once I’m back to work, I’ll be able to support my mother, move us toward emotional and financial stability, and begin pursuing the dreams I lost during these years of hardship.
Opening up like this is incredibly hard. But sometimes, all you can do is hope someone sees you are in need and extend a hand.
Our Goal is $8,000
If you can help financially, please know it would mean the world to us.
If you can’t, sharing this story is just as valuable.

Thank you for your time, compassion, and kindness.
With gratitude and hope,
Amelia & Sandra
