Hi, I’m Amber.

If you know me, you know I don’t like asking for help. I’m more of a “figure it out, cry in the car, and keep it moving” kind of woman. But today, I’m laying that pride down for one reason: my son.

We’ve been through something no family should have to go through. His father was recently charged with Class II intentional child abuse that left my son’s half brother son with serious injuries. There have recently been things I have found out about my sons safety prior to this event even happening that greatly effected my son and now my son has been diagnosed with PTSD. This experience shook us to the core—and I’ve been doing everything I can to keep my child safe ever since.

Right now, I’m in the middle of an intense legal process to make sure my son never has to relive the trauma he experienced. I’ve hired a strong, compassionate attorney, and we’re preparing for two critical court hearings that could decide his future. Each of those hearings will cost around $10,000, and I’ve already stretched every resource I have—sold my home, refinanced my car, used my savings and tax return. There's nothing I wouldn’t do to protect him… but I can’t do this part alone.
