Below, you will find our story, how you can help, and the process we plan to go through over the next year.

Thank you to each of you who have been praying for our family these last few years. Please continue to pray, and please know that this is the greatest help you can offer as a child of God!

On June 2nd, 2018, Jonathan and I (Amanda) were married in Iowa and moved to Ohio. There we were given Emerson (4) after a year of trying.

When Emerson was born, we chose to move back to Iowa to be with my family.

We prayed for more children, but months turned to years, and no children were given. Curiosity turned into tests and more tests and more questions until the answers came. Medically, we are infertile. A rapid decline has been shown on the tests. There may be hope of returning to good health in the future. Until then, we have felt the leading of the Lord to adopt through Embryo Adoption.

This is a way for me to carry a child and for us to welcome a baby into our family from the very beginning of life. This unique process allows us to adopt a baby that has been created but not yet given the chance to grow, and through God’s grace, to give that child a home filled with love, faith, and family.

Please join us in praying that we will be matched with the right family and child, that the process will go smoothly, and the medical team will have skilled hands and hearts. And that the funds will be given to us, by the Lord, at just the right times. For He is the keeper of all things.

So what is the process going forward?

We have been accepted into Nightlight Christian Adoption Agency, where we will go through the matching and adoption process. This can take up to a year, depending on funding and matching. Once the process has been finalized, we will work with our fertility clinic to give the baby embryos life!
