Hello, my name is Aly, and I’m raising money for my father who has been courageously battling cancer for the past few years.

His journey has been anything but easy. When his face first started drooping, doctors misdiagnosed him, believing it was bell’s Palsy. It wasn’t until he sought a second opinion that they discovered a tumor behind his ear, dangerously close to his brain. Surgery was performed immediately, and that’s when we learned it was cancerous.

That surgery saved his life, but it also came with devastating effects—he lost hearing in one ear, suffered significant weight loss, and had to rely on a feeding tube for nourishment. Thankfully, he has regained some strength and no longer needs the tube, but he still requires ongoing treatments and has to drink nutritional formula daily to maintain a healthy weight.

Today, one side of his face and skull continues to sink inward, and his facial droop is severe. Despite this, his spirit remains unshaken—he believes he will beat cancer and return to work. As a family, we hold onto hope, but the cancer is currently stable, and we fear he may never be able to return to his job.

My dad’s wife is retired, and together they are raising their young daughter who is still in school. Everyday bills, medical expenses, and school costs are piling up, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up.
