We’re raising funds to send four to five Amazon warehouse workers, women leaders from ALU-IBT Local 1, to attend the annual Teamsters Women’s Conference in Toronto from Sunday, August 24 to Wednesday, August 27 for the very first time!

This is a historic opportunity for our union sisters to connect with thousands of Teamsters from across the country and beyond, to grow as leaders, build solidarity across industries, and represent the voices of Amazon workers on a global labor stage.

Why this matters:

Amazon has built its empire off the backs of women workers—Black, brown, immigrant, single mothers, caretakers—who risk their bodies every day in unsafe, grueling warehouse conditions. Too often, their voices are pushed aside. At ALU-IBT Local 1, we are committed to changing that.

We are proud to be the first union of Amazon warehouse workers in the U.S., and now, we’re building something even bigger: a democratic, worker-led union where women are at the forefront. Sending our sisters to this year’s Women’s Conference is one step toward building the leadership, skills, and solidarity we need to win dignity and power on the job.

Our goal is to raise $4,000–$5,000 to cover costs for 4–5 workers. Every dollar helps ensure these women workers can attend this powerful gathering, bring back lessons to share, and grow our union from the ground up.
