Dear friends, family, and kind strangers, my name is Alondra. My son and I are moving in the hopes of providing a better quality of life for my son.

I was working a part-time job in the hopes of catching up with bills and making the moving process move a little bit faster, but I had to stop working as I did not have anyone to take care of my child anymore, and I didn’t have the means to pay for childcare. Finding a job has been an absolute headache. Even though they say that they don’t discriminate, I find that this is the case every time I apply. I am legally blind, and whenever they see that I disclose this information, I’m always met with the same response of “they found someone who is more qualified” or they don’t think I would be able to keep up with the pace. I understand that companies are looking to make money and may not have the time to accommodate someone like me, but I’m struggling and falling behind on bills.

I have fallen into credit card debt trying to pay my bills on time, and it seems to be a never-ending cycle. I have never thought that I would be in this position, but here I am now. If you find it in your heart to help me and my son, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you and God bless.
