My wife Alma De Torres (age 27) mother of three, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, stroke, and seizure Monday Nov 4, 2024 around 3:30am. As the ambulance was en route to our home, I had to give her CPR as her breathing was delayed and abnormal. The ambulance took her to hospital in Libertyville where she received a scan of her brain. The Doctor informed me that she had a ruptured brain aneurysm and would need to be flown to a different hospital that specializes in Neurology where she would later receive surgery. Due to weather conditions they could not fly her in helicopter so she was transported again via ambulance.
She underwent two brain surgeries in order to stop the bleeding where the rupture occurred. She has been in the Neuro Intensive Critical Care unit ever since Nov 4th and is currently being closely monitored / examined daily for any spasms in her brain vessels.
Due to her conditions, she will need to be hospitalized a couple more weeks and do extensive rehab in the hospital as she is unable to walk without the aid of a walker or nurse/physical therapist support in case she falls due to the pain in her back, legs, and head.
We are asking for your help to lessen the financial burden on the family since she will be unable to work or drive until she regains her strength, ability to walk again, and her vision improves.
Thank you
