This is Ally. She is 14 years old with a very rare genetic disorder called KCNQ2. You can look it up so you'll understand it more. Her disorder is causing her to have more and more seizures every day. The last few months haven't been too good for her. Yesterday, July 22nd, my parents took her to the doctor to try and figure out why she's having so many seizures and what they can do to help her out. The answers the doc gave weren't what we wanted to hear. Her time is coming near. The doctors are going to try different meds, oxygen, and sleep studies to try and help prolong the inevitable. This little girl is such an angel. If you've ever met her, you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. She has impacted so many lives. And you know the saying, God has a plan for everything. Well, He certainly had a plan when bringing this little one into my family when she was 2 years old. My parents are superheroes. When they got the call about a little girl who needed a home, my parents said, 'Bring her over,' and ever since, she's been in the best hands any kid could ask for. She has gone through so much in her life but overcame every obstacle thrown her way. But now I'm afraid she may not overcome this one. But who knows what God has planned, right? Most kiddos with her disorder don't live too long. With these new seizures she's having, they are coming from a different part of her brain, which is causing her to sorta shut down. Which is why I'm here asking for help. No parent should have to deal with anything like this, especially with their little kids. If you can't donate, please share and pray. Prayers go a long way.
