We are hoping to get funds to make and donate toys to disabled children who require an adaptive button on their toy. These are children without the finger dexterity to flip small on/off switches.

Button modifications for children's toys with disabilities enable easier activation of battery-operated toys using a switch. These modifications reroute the toy's original switch to an easier-to-activate one like a finger, foot, or mouth switch. They are available for various toy types, including sensory toys.

Every child deserves a toy! Please help support our cause.

These toys already exist, but are very costly, especially for families and caregivers of disabled children. These adaptive buttons can be purchased on their own at a fraction of the cost, but they too still add up. Furthermore, they require time and labor to install them properly.

Allie is a physical therapist in McHenry County, IL, with a heart of gold and a dedication to helping children with disabilities and delays.

She has previously worked in Minnesota and first began her dream of helping quadriplegic children and those with similar disabilities to have access to toys! Her goal, now that she resides in Illinois, is to do the same. Let's help her achieve her goal!

Allie currently takes broken toys home from work and has her retired father fix them by soldering and repairing circuits. She then brings them back to work. She would like this helpful habit to become the jumping-off point for this charity, which will fix and modify broken toys to adapt them for disabled children.

The idea of this is to donate 100% of the toys to those in need. These include some of her own clients that she works with, as well as other organizations and those in need in her community for starters. She works with many people on the spectrum and with other disabilities.

I have made suggestions to her to reach out to the McHenry County Options & Advocacy group and Gigi's Playhouse to donate her products too, as well, if the funds allow. She also hopes to find volunteers through the MCC.

I am all in. I believe in her and her cause. I believe that we need to make the world more accessible and inclusive. We need to make items affordable for those in need. And those in need are no less deserving to have toys to play with.
