1. The 3 rabbits dumped in Prospect Park, Brooklyn after they were cruelly obtained for a lame “photo shoot” and then abandoned shortly thereafter. This has become a social media firestorm!
2. Abandoned rabbit in Bush Terminal Park in Brooklyn. Once the rabbit is safely contained, funds for supplies, spay-neuter and medical care will be needed.
3. A case in Bay Shore, Long Island where a young man needs assistance spay-neutering and rehoming 11 rabbits that his ex-girlfriend dumped on him.

Forget the 1970’s song “It's Raining Men.” It's more like raining rabbits! With a brutal heat wave hitting NYC and Long Island, AARR is working overtime to save as many rabbits as possible. Our resources are being stretched thin with an influx of new rescues, many of whom have serious medical needs. Examples of such are: Lainey with a mouth abscess that required a CT scan, Perry with teeth issues/upper respiratory infection and Jimany who required a leg amputation. It's life and death for these rabbits, and we will never give up on them.
Our dedicated volunteers are handling the logistics of shuttling rabbits to and from vet appointments, arranging foster homes, screening adoption applicants and rescuing rabbits off the streets of NYC. To continue doing this, we need financial assistance.
We're raising money for our Spay and Neuter Fund to cover the costs of surgeries, medical treatments, and fecal testing for this new group of 11 rescues. Our goal is $2,750 to ensure they get the care they need before they're ready for adoption.
