Support Alison's Family After Hurricane Helene Floods Home

Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I created this GoFundMe to try and help my sister Alison's family cope with the sudden loss of their home. After returning from the evacuation for Hurricane Helene, they were devastated to find 14" of water had entered their home in St. Petersburg, FL. They are currently in the process of essentially throwing away almost all of their belongings while trying to find a new, safe temporary home for their family, coordinate with insurance to file claims, and continue to work and take their kids to school. The amount of work that needs to be done is overwhelming. My heart breaks for them and everyone else impacted by this hurricane.

I know so many people were severely impacted by this storm, especially those in western NC and eastern TN. I also know times are tough for everyone right now as it feels like prices for almost everything have tripled in the past few years.

I humbly ask if you find it in your heart to donate, any amount, I know how helpful it would be for them in their greatest time of need... and if you can't; any advice, contacts for assistance or resources in the St. Pete area, or even sharing this fundraiser would be just as appreciated.

The funds raised will go directly to my sister to assist them with the expenses that will come from having to find a new temporary residence (while still paying on their mortgage), new furniture, and food/ clothing for the family as the majority of their possessions were ruined with the flood water.
