My name is Alisha, and I’m a parent currently navigating an ongoing child custody matter in family court. Unfortunately, I need some financial support getting a new lawyer to be successful.

This process has been both emotionally and very financially overwhelming. In addition to new upcoming attorney fees and court-related expenses, I am currently commuting a total of 4 hours and 40 minutes each day to transport my son to and from school, and the cost of fuel has become a significant added cost of an extra $800.00 a month.

At the same time, I am working to meet my son’s immediate day-to-day needs. I currently need to purchase all essentials, toys, electronics, clothing, and shoes for him, as I do not have his personal items in my possession. I can’t get them back, so the important things that are essential to him need to be replaced.

My focus is on staying compliant with the court, ensuring I have proper legal representation, which I do not have at this time, and continuing to provide stability and care for my children. I need to get a new lawyer and pay the costly $7k-10k retainer fee.

All funds raised will be used strictly for attorney fees, court filings for my children, necessary transportation costs, and essential items for my son.
