Story:

My name is Ali, and I’m from The Gambia. After losing our parents, I became the only one caring for my siblings. Life has been very hard.

I used to work in the fields, but now I have no job, and we are struggling to afford food, rent, and school for my siblings. I just want them to have a chance at education and a better life.

Ali also recently lost his sister and younger brother. His sister had two children that Ali supports now too.

Two weeks ago (mid December 2025) we were successful in raising money to help Ali pay for a burial for his younger brother. But burying their brother with the respect he deserved required using all of the money they had for this month’s housing, food, and education as well.
