Alex Barcenas, who worked with Dokotela offshore over the last year, has tragically recently passed away after his battle with cancer. 

Although not all of us had the chance to meet Alex in person, many of us worked closely with him and experienced the positive impact he made through his dedication, kindness, and commitment to supporting our work. He was a valued member of our extended team, and his loss is deeply felt.

During his illness, Alex’s greatest concern was the financial wellbeing of his wife and family in the event he could no longer work. In honour of his contribution and to support his loved ones through this incredibly difficult time, we have set up a GoFundMe page for his immediate family.
