Justice for a Devoted Mother — Reclaiming My Son & My Peace

Hi, my name is Alexis, and I’ve been my son’s primary parent and fiercest protector for nearly 12 years — through joy, hardship, and everything in between.

This year, after a long and emotionally draining custody battle, a decision was made that stripped me not only of physical custody, but also of financial stability. Despite raising my son with love, consistency, and full responsibility since birth, the court ruled in favor of his father — a man who once denied him, later built a calculated paper trail, and is now using the legal system to rewrite our truth.

Even the Attorney Ad Litem, appointed by the court to protect my child’s best interest, recommended that I retain custody. Yet that recommendation was ignored.

Now, I’m facing:

    •    A court-ordered reversal of child support — I must pay $500/month to the man who spent years absent.

    •    Legal fees that have wiped out my savings.

    •    A painful separation from my child — emotionally and physically — as I fight to appeal this ruling and seek justice.

Why I’m Asking for Help:

    •    Appeal costs and legal motions (Motion to Reconsider, Motion to Stay, future filings)

    •    Attorney’s fees & transcript expenses

    •    Travel & communication to remain present in my son’s life while he is out of state

    •    The emotional, spiritual, and physical rebuilding required to keep going

I’ve always shown up for my children. I’ve sacrificed, hustled, loved, and led with grace. Now I need support to keep fighting — not just for me, but for the truth of my story and for the right to raise my son in peace.
