Support Alexis’s Fight Against Ovarian Cancer

Donation protected
Hello Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
On behalf of our entire family, we bring a story that's part resilience, part love, and part 'Is that a tumor, or is she smuggling a white claw pounder? Meet Alexis, a vibrant 29-year-old, wife to Matt, and mother to the adorable Percie. Three weeks ago, Alexis was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian Mixed Germ Cell Cancer. Yes, it sounds scary, and it is, but if you know Alexis, she has a ridiculously positive outlook on life. What's most impressive is she's doing it, knowing it will get worse before it gets better.

The Power of Positivity:
Alexis' journey through this began with what she thought was a stubborn stomach ache. After trying every diet under the sun (gluten-free, dairy-free, all forms of fun-free), she realized something wasn't quite right. The mystery tour of tummy troubles pushed her to schedule a visit to her primary doctor, who recommended an emergency OBGYN visit and an emergency MRI, which revealed a tumor so large that every doctor was blown away. We're talking a whopping 6" x5" x4"; it was impressive that she carried something that significant for so long. What followed was a whirlwind of events – an emergency visit to the Asplundh Cancer Center, meeting a fantastic Oncology OBGYN, and a surgery that involved not just one but two excellent doctors. Shoutout to Dr. Tamburrino and Dr. Burton for not just removing the 'uninvited guest' but doing so with such skill that Alexis was spared a major scar. The pathology results are in after some very tense days, and it's the best-case scenario given the circumstances. The cancer was high grade and aggressive however was contained in the cyst, but because it's a bit of a stubborn one, Alexis will start 12 weeks of chemotherapy post-Thanksgiving.
But here's where Alexis shines. Even as she stands at the starting line of a chemo marathon, her spirit remains unshaken. Her optimism? Unwavering. And while the road ahead might be tough, we know she's tougher.

How You Can Help:
And now, her journey begins, hopefully, WITH ALL OF US by her side. We're rallying the troops, calling all kind-hearted souls to lend a hand. Every bit of support counts, whether it's sending a warm meal, a card, or helping with the mounting expenses.

Financial Support:
The journey ahead includes expenses like egg retrieval (because they're planning for more mini-Alexis's in the future), surgery costs, chemotherapy, and continuing lost income. Every contribution helps lift a bit of the weight off their shoulders.
So friends, as we rally around Alexis, we invite you to join us in this journey. Your support, be it a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or a helping hand, means more than you could imagine. Let's show Alexis and the world the power of community, love, and a little bit of humor in the face of life's unexpected turns.
With Gratitude and Hope,
