On December 26th, Alexis was taken from his neighborhood into ICE custody and quickly transferred to an ICE detention facility states away.
We have been moving as quickly as possible to get the information and resources we need to help return him to his family.
He has been an extremely dependable and hardworking installer for the last 2 years. He is a huge asset to the team. Last week, he had to miss his scheduled electrical license test because of his detainment. He has been in touch with his coworkers to thank everyone for their support and ask how the projects are going. He remains in good spirits considering the circumstances.
He is greatly missed by his community, coworkers, friends, congregation and his wife, who is expecting their baby very soon. There is a huge heaviness in his absence.
Fees for an attorney and bond total $10,000. He has been able to secure a portion of this from his employer but there is still a larger portion left to up his family and friends. As soon as they get the $5000 Alexis can be released.
Anything that we are able to raise will go to Alexis’ family to help cover bond and other expenses that have become much harder to manage because of this ordeal. With Alexis in detainment, he has not been able to save for his family and the child they will soon welcome. With your support, we are confident we can get him home and offer some comfort in the knowledge that we are all here for him.
