Our names are Alexis Stealy and Jesse Saldana and we are fundraising money for a volunteer trip to Uganda, Africa. We are preparing for a 14 day trip in the summer of 2026, and your support will help make our mission possible.

Our team will be participating in an amazing experience, where we will work alongside local leaders. During our visit we will be going to local schools and youth programs supported by the Youth Development Organization. We will participate in community meetings and home visits, fetch water from village wells and experience daily life in rural Uganda, visit vocational training centers where women learn sewing and men train in construction, observe a local medical clinic and a school currently under construction, engage in games and activities with children and attend a community soccer match. Finally, we will end the trip with a two-day safari at Murchison Falls National Park. This project is being organized in partnership with Service and Cultural Immersion Program with Yotera and our Ugandan partner, the Youth Development Organization. We are also volunteering for Be A Number, a non-profit organization made by Kevin Hershock, from Marshall. It aims to make a lasting impact on the local communities through hands-on work, cultural exchange, and sustainable aid.

Any donation — monetary or in-kind — will directly contribute to the success of our mission and help us bring much-needed assistance to those who need it most. This trip isn't just about seeing another culture- it's about learning from Ugandan leaders who are rebuilding their communities with hope and determination.
