My name is Alexandrea Karandreas, and I’m a member of Troop 4800, the only all-girl troop in Osceola County. I’m reaching out for your support as I work toward my Eagle Scout Project, which involves creating a blessing box at the First Presbyterian Church in Kissimmee.
Through my journey in Scouting, I have gained valuable insights into the community I live in. It has opened my eyes to the various challenges faced by many individuals, including homeless people, senior citizens, and families living in low-income housing. Participating in community service projects and engaging with different cultural and socioeconomic groups has deepened my understanding of the importance of compassion and support for one another.
This blessing box will serve as a vital resource for those struggling with food insecurity. By providing a place where people can take what they need and leave what they can, we aim to foster a sense of community support and compassion. I believe that no one should go hungry, and I want to do my part in making a positive difference.
My goal is to raise $800 to fund this initiative and to collect up to 300 food items to keep the box stocked for the next 2 to 3 months. Your contributions will help ensure that those in need have access to nutritious food and other essential items.
Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated to help make a positive impact in our community. Together, we can create a welcoming space for those who are struggling and help brighten their day. Thank you for considering supporting this important project!
