Hey y'all!

My name is Alejandra,

I am an Emergency Veterinary Technician in Oregon and have been for the last 4 years.

You may know me as your pet's nurse in the ER or ICU.

I may have been a friend giving you advice to ease your anxiety about your pet and let you know when it’s time to bring your pet into the clinic.

You may also know me as a volunteer in the local community through PAW Team in Portland and First Nations Vet on Native American Reservations, helping human friends and animal friends by providing access to veterinary care.

Through my many ventures of providing care and giving time to my local community, I have been given an incredible opportunity to travel internationally to Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

There I will be working at a small clinic and tending to the local temple dogs and cats.

I would appreciate all the help I can get to accomplish this. I have only dreamed of an opportunity like this one, and with your help, I will volunteer my time to the community of Phnom Penh in September 2026.

I anticipate working 7 out of the 9 days I will be in town. These funds will help to cover travel, visa, and vaccine costs for this trip.

I don’t anticipate there will be any excess funds, but if there are, they will be donated to the clinic or used towards getting them any clinic supplies on their wishlist.
