Help Alaa Alrifi Obtain Her Degree Certificate

Organizer: My name is Nicole Trinidad and I am an activist, journalist, and artist in the USA. I am connected to several artists in different countries (like Congo, Palestine, Philippines, etc) that are affected by ongoing social turmoil and political strife. I interview them for journalism articles and in doing so realize I am often the only person they know who might be able to help. So, I raise funds for these artists and students full-time. Beneficiary: I’m Alaa Alrifi from Gaza, where I recently graduated with honors and ranked second in my major. Despite this achievement, I face a significant hurdle—I can’t obtain my degree certificate due to outstanding fees totaling $1700 USD. Without it, I can’t pursue further education or secure jobs requiring formal qualifications.

I’m determined to continue my education by enrolling in a Master’s program, aiming to make a positive impact in my community and beyond. Your support will help clear my university fees and unlock opportunities for my future. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring me closer to achieving my dreams and contributing to Gaza’s future.

How they money will be used:

$1,700 for past due fees necessary for school promotion, applications for scholarships, and so forth.

The remaining funds will be used to support Alaa with rebuilding her life as a student, buying supplies and books, and food for the remainder of the summer. Most money exchange locations like Western Union within Gaza are closed or at risk. The money will be wired directly to a relative outside of war-torn Gaza and then hand-delivered to Alaa in Gaza.
