My name is Aja Stout, I am a 26 year old single Mother. Going through a year long court case, supporting my son alone with the support of family. Due to my son’s medical history, we have had many appointments that led to multiple referrals to specialists, gastroenterologists, urologist, neurologists, and more.. After an X-ray and CT scan showed multiple anomalies more appointments came up causing me missed work without leave to cover my weekly pay. On top of a car repair that was $1300 on our way to Children’s Hospital appt. Having to use FMLA just to protect my job, but also having employers and a supervisor that has gone above and beyond to assure me that my job is safe, but that doesn’t help with the bills that are stacking up. I have one more paycheck that is only half pay and too many bills due now that are tap dancing on my mind every night when I put my son to bed. I’m only asking for help with those bills specifically. My son has one more appt we are waiting on a referral for his final (hopefully) MRI to confirm the neurosurgeons prognosis of no surgery needed on his spinal cord.
