Hello All! My name is AJ Ball, a Life Scout from Rye Troop 2. I am currently organizing and running an Eagle Scout Service project, one of the requirements for the Eagle Scout Rank, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. For this project I am restoring an overgrown path at the Bird Homestead on Milton Road in Rye, NY. The Bird Homestead is a historic property in Rye, but has fallen into disrepair. Many hardworking volunteers are working to restore the property so people can make use of a cool piece of history for many years to come.

My project will clear plants and debris from the area, level out the ground in the area, install natural weed barriers, lay down mulch and wood chips, line the path with stones, and install a bench looking out on Blind Brook.

Any donations are much appreciated and will be used to purchase tools, materials, and supplies for the volunteers. Thank you so much to everyone who helps out, monetarily or with you time.
