As many of you may know, our beloved mother, Aisha Akndor, passed away on September 25, 2025. Alongside the deep grief of losing her, we are also facing significant financial challenges. Aisha was not only a devoted mother but also a loving daughter who cared for her aging mother—our grandmother. Who still lives overseas.

Throughout the years, while raising five children on her own, she continued to support our grandmother financially, covering her rent, caregivers, and basic necessities, food, water etc. Without our mother, we are now her only source of support. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to meet her needs on our own.

In addition, we are hoping to repair our mother’s home, which has fallen into very poor condition. With so many responsibilities—her mother, her business, her other full time job, her children, and grandchildren—the house was never able to be her top priority. The ceilings are burned, the stairs are damaged, the floors are torn up, and the toilets barely function. She always dreamed of restoring her home, and we would love to honor her by completing that dream, but we simply cannot afford it.

Aisha owned a small business that she poured her heart and over a decade of her life into. As her children, we are doing our best to keep it running, as it was something she truly loved and used to serve her community. She really loved sharing our culture with the Tri Cities so, the thought of closing it is incredibly painful, and we’re determined to do everything we can to keep it alive.
