Here is an example video of the game of Gaga Ball.
Hello, my name is Aiden Hamilton. I am a Life Scout with Troop 249 here in Weston, MO. For my Eagle Scout project, I will be working with my fellow scouts to create a recreational Gaga Ball pit in Benner Park. Benner Park is located on the southern edge of Weston along Highway 45. It offers a picnic shelter, a playground, and walking/jogging trails. Gaga Ball is great for players of any size, age, and athletic ability. Gaga Ball is a game where everyone has about the same chance to win as anybody else. Games generally last only minutes, and eliminated players are back in the action quickly. Once a player is out, they can have as much fun watching and cheering while the other players finish the game. In the rules of Gaga Ball, the ball must touch the ground two times before it is considered in play, hence the name. The object of the game is to hit the ball at or below opponents’ knees to eliminate them from the pit. The last one left in the Gaga Ball pit is the winner. Then, a new game starts all over and everyone jumps back in.
I grew up playing this game at Scout Camp and want to share the enjoyment I've had with other children and teenagers from the Weston community.
