My name is Aiden Johnson. I am a St. Paul’s Catholic school alumnus. I am a Life Scout in Troop 252 at St. Matthew’s. I am currently working toward my Eagle Scout rank. I have been in scouting for almost 10 years, starting as a Cub Scout in Pack 132. To conclude my scouting endeavors, I am tasked with doing a project that gives back to the community.

For my Eagle project, I have proposed restoring a flag pulley system, sanding, priming and painting the flagpole, replacing the damaged mortar around the pavers, planting flowers behind the flagpole, planting 6 podocarpus laying down bark mulch, and placing a bench at the top right corner of the flagpole on St. Paul’s grounds.

I have received approval from the Scouts BSA North Florida Council, St. Paul’s Catholic school, and the St. Paul’s Planning Committee to proceed with my project. I am hoping to complete the beautification of the flagpole by Fall 2024.

I am reaching out to the community to seek donations that will help to purchase the materials needed to complete this project.
