Support Ahmad and His Family's Journey to Resettle in the United States
Ahmad Jadoa, his wife Tasnim, and their twin daughters, Sila and Mila, born in 2024, have the opportunity to rebuild their lives in the United States through the WelcomeCorp refugee sponsorship program. To qualify, they must raise $1,455 per family member to cover initial housing and basic needs until they can find employment.
Your support can make this possible. By contributing to this fundraiser, you’ll help Ahmad and his family escape years of instability, poverty, and displacement, and give them a chance to start fresh in a safe and stable environment.
A Family Torn Apart by War
Ahmad’s journey of resilience and hope began in Hafsarja, a village in Syria near the Turkish border. His family lived as proud landowners, cultivating olive groves and building a future for their children. In 2011, war came to their village. Despite relentless bombing, Ahmad’s parents, Asad and Nahed, and his younger brother Abdalla, clung to their land for two years. But intense shelling destroyed their home, ravaged their olive trees, and injured Ahmad’s father, forcing them to flee. At just 15, Ahmad began a life of displacement, leaving behind everything he had known and loved.
Years of Hardship in Lebanon
In 2013, the family sought refuge in Nabatiya, southern Lebanon, but their challenges only grew. Ahmad’s father worked dangerous jobs in stone quarries and factories, sustaining injuries that resulted in partial finger amputations. Ahmad dropped out of school at 16 to support his family, enduring exploitation, long hours, and verbal abuse at a car repair shop. As Syrians, the family faced severe discrimination, poverty, and instability, often treated as outsiders and subjected to hostility.
Current Struggles
In September 2024, the war in Lebanon forced Ahmad and his family to flee again, this time to Northern Lebanon. There, they face dire conditions. Ahmad and his father struggle to find work, leaving the family barely able to afford rent, heating, or basic necessities. Providing formula milk for Sila and Mila is a constant challenge due to its high cost.
Despite these hardships, Ahmad and Tasnim remain hopeful for a brighter future for their daughters and family.
Your generosity will help this courageous family escape the cycle of displacement and build a stable, dignified life in the United States. Every dollar gets them closer to a fresh start and the safe haven they deserve. Thank you for your support!
