Help Me Create a Butterfly Garden for my EAGLE PROJECT- in Honor of My Grandmother
Hello Everyone,
My name is Agastya Kartha, and I’m an 11th grader in my 10th year of scouting with Troop 119. I started my journey in Cub Scouts and transitioned to Boy Scouts in 6th grade. The skills and values I’ve gained over the years have led me to this pivotal moment: my Eagle Scout project.
For my Eagle project, I am building a butterfly garden—a meaningful tribute to my grandmother, who passed away in 2020. She was an inspiration, and the embodiment of unconditional love. A woman of faith, full of life, and a lover of sunshine and her garden, my grandmother believed God gives us time to make a difference—and she lived by that.
To honor her legacy and the impact she had on my life, I will be creating a butterfly garden at my place of worship. The garden will feature a variety of plants and shrubs to attract butterflies of all kinds. I will also be constructing 2 benches, creating a serene space for reflection, prayer, and connection with nature.
To bring this project to life, I am seeking your support. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward purchasing plants, shrubs, materials for the benches, and other supplies needed to complete this project. My goal is to create a space that will bring joy, peace, and beauty to the community while honoring my grandmother’s love for nature.
I deeply appreciate your generosity and support in helping me achieve this goal. I will share updates and photos of the completed garden so you can see the impact of your contribution.
Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me!
Agastya Kartha
