My name is Margaret, and I recently lost my father, Claude Ray Roberts, after a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer's and melanoma cancer. In 2018, we learned of his diagnosis, and since then, I have been by his side, helping my mom care for him and making sacrifices that often went unspoken. When my mom passed away in March 2024, I moved my dad into my home without hesitation, leaving my career behind to become his full-time caregiver. I was grateful to receive some support from the state, but today, November 1st, I found my dad had passed away peacefully in his hospice bed at home.
Claude was a man who loved golf, teaching others about their swing, and making personalized golf clubs for friends. He had a passion for restoring classic cars and a deep love for Jesus. His kindness and generosity touched many lives, and he always found joy in helping others.
Now, as I face this new chapter, I am struggling to cover basic needs like rent, food, electricity, and the costs of my father's funeral. I am not currently working, and any support would mean so much as I try to honor my dad and keep moving forward. Life is so precious, and I hope my story reminds others to cherish every moment with their loved ones. Thank you for considering helping during this difficult time.
