Support After Las Vegas Fire: 101-Year-Old in Need
Donation protected
We're seeking help with restoring a beloved neighborhood community member's home after a devastating garage fire occurred in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, July 5th.
At 101 years old, Violet, her grandson, and their two dogs were rescued from their home as it was engulfed in flames. A team of 40+ firefighters and first responders were at the scene, acting swiftly to minimize damage. Violet has been a resident of this home for the last 36 years, enjoying a peaceful retirement with her loving family, and acting as a friendly member of her neighborhood community.
This life-changing event has completely uprooted her; She was one of the first residents to move into the neighborhood, and now a home that has been around for generations is in unimaginable disrepair. Violet is now left to wonder: How am I meant to fix this?
To show our respect, appreciation, and most of all love to Violet and her family, we ask for funding towards temporary housing and other unexpected expenses while the affected are displaced, and for the inevitably hefty costs of repairs or replacements for the home. Even if you are unable to give financially, please share this with others who may be able to help. Every bit of support counts!
Violet does not have internet access nor an email address, due to this we are unable to get her set up as an official GoFundMe beneficiary. I will be helping her handle the funds outside of GoFundMe.
