Hi, our names are Kirst and Tess we are wanting to support Tash, Luke and their kids.

On Saturday the 16th of September, what was meant to be a relaxing vacation with their kids turned into a horrific nightmare.

Tash, Luke and their 5 children. 13 years and under, were involved in a terrible accident that involved their car and the attached trailer being engulfed in flames.

Luckily, Tash and the kids were able to escape with no physical injuries but unfortunately in an effort to ensure that his family were out of harms way Luke was severely burnt and airlifted to hospital for specialised care. Today, he will go through his first skin grafting but at this stage, with no way to know if any other surgeries will be required and to how long the road to recovery will be, the family are trying to stay in high spirts and be grateful that everyone got out of this alive. You can only imagine the emotional trauma that this has caused the family but also the financial impact that this has had and will continue to have with Luke being off work whist he embarks on the journey to recovery. The trailer packed and ready for their trip contained a lot of clothing, personal items, and household cooking utensils that need to be replaced so that their home can begin to function again to ensure stability for the children, as they begin to process what they can.

Luke is the first person to lend a hand to anyone in need and the first person to help a mate during a crisis, he would give the shirt of his own back and last dollar to a complete stranger if he thought it would help him.
