My name is Bethany, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my sister and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

Recently, my sister and her almost 3-year-old daughter, Arabella, were T-boned by a drunk driver. While they are thankfully safe, they lost their vehicle. Although insurance, first responders, and a lawyer are involved, the process has taken much longer than they can afford, especially after delays at the tow yard.

At the same time, my brother-in-law received heartbreaking news that he will need open-heart surgery and will be placed on short-term disability during his recovery, significantly reducing their household income. This was discovered while he was at work caring for patients, when his blood pressure was found to be dangerously high.

Without a vehicle, my sister is unable to DoorDash on weekends, which had been an important source of supplemental income. Despite both of them working full time, the overlap of these events has created an immediate financial strain they simply couldn’t have planned for.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Transportation: car rental costs (approximately $300 per week), a down payment on a vehicle, or access to a reliable 4-seater

• Daycare: $150 per week

• Rent: $900 per month

• Food & essentials: groceries and size 4 pull-ups/diapers

They are hopeful this situation is temporary and will be resolved soon, but it has already been ongoing since the beginning of December.
